[jira] Created: (HBASE-772) Up default lease period from 60 to 120 seconds

Up default lease period from 60 to 120 seconds
----------------------------------------------

                 Key: HBASE-772
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-772
             Project: Hadoop HBase
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: stack
             Fix For: 0.2.0
         Attachments: uplease.patch

At 60 seconds, it seems easy enough for a HRS to timeout if datanode and a tasktracker doing uploading all on the one, smallish machine. Try upping the default to 120. Internally at powerset we have it set to 180 for our big indexing jobs.
