[ANNOUNCE] Apache Camel 2.7.0 released

The Apache Camel project [1] is a powerful open source integration framework based on known Enterprise Integration Patterns [2].

The Apache Camel 2.7.0 release [3] is finally out. It is a bit earlier than the usual quarterly schedule and it comes with about 169 issues resolved, many of them coming as contributions from our community. Thank you for your contributions and continued support.

This release is a bit special as it drops support for older technologies, as announced last month. More specifically, Java 5 and Spring 2.5.6 are no longer supported starting with this version.

Among the issues resolved in this release you can find (in no particular order):

    * Added 4 new components: Context, Hazelcast Component, DNS and MyBatis
    * Switched to using slf4j as the logger instead of commons logging
    * Added support for MDC logging with Camel
    * DSL improvements
    * Improvements for a few components like JMS, HTTP, File, Quartz
    * Improvements of the test kit and Mock component
    * ... and much, much more.

Download [4] Camel now, check out the release notes [3] and enjoy the ride!
