DBCP: Pooling Prepared Statements

Has any one Pooled Prepared Statements using DBCP?
It would be of great help if you can point/send me an example.
I am trying from the past few days but not able to understand how the
different pieces fit in for a Prepared statement.
I have started using JOCL Driver based connection pooling.
