ColorPicker
Hi all,
I have asked Christian Lippka (a former colleague and one of the
original developers from Sun/Oracle) for his implementation of the new
ColorPicker which I knew he was working on privately short before the
big change came along rolling over us all. He kindly offered to use his
code under Apache license, so I took the time to take it, adapt it as
needed and check functionality on Win, Mac and Linux (see task
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=118828 for details).
It's working on all systems well now, Just wanted to ask if someone has
concerns to replace the old, ugly and non-intuitive one with the new,
ergonomic and intuitive one which e.g. LO already uses since he also
gave it to them. YOu can see a comparison under
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=77172 where the upper
one is the old one (of course).
Part of this is surely a question of taste, but please do not let me
make bad experiences by making this a bike-shed example :-)
Sincerely,
Armin

Hi all,
no complaints, just applause (thanks Pedro). I have now committed the
change and also updated the AOO 3.4 release notes page [1] accordingly.
Kudos go to Christian Lippka for offering this feature for Apache
OpenOffice!
