[jira] [Created] (FLUME-824) Allow for file descriptor limit to be
modified for flume user
Allow for file descriptor limit to be modified for flume user
-------------------------------------------------------------
Key: FLUME-824
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLUME-824
Project: Flume
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Node
Affects Versions: v0.9.4
Environment: Debian Squeeze,
Reporter: Michael Kania
We are in an environment where thousands of hosts are connecting to a small cluster of flume collectors via syslog-ng. Currently we don't have a simple way to change the open file descriptor limits for the flume user other than hacking /etc/init.d/flume-node.
