[jira] [Updated] (SOLR-13978) Remove bloat from default configset

Ishan Chattopadhyaya updated SOLR-13978:
----------------------------------------
    Attachment: SOLR-13978.patch
      Assignee: Ishan Chattopadhyaya
        Status: Open (was: Open)

Attaching a patch that removes the following to the _default configset:

# Extraction and solr-cell libs
# Clustering libs
# Language identifier libs
# Velocity libs
# /query handler (difference between this and /select seems that this does indentation)
# /browse handler
# /tvrh handler
# /update/extract handler
# TermVector component (if someone wants it, can be added using config APIs)
# langid URP (it was commented out)
# Script update processor (it was commented out)
# XSLT response writer
# Velocity response writer

Can someone please review?

> We need to review and remove all components that are not essential for search, indexing and other core functionality. Velocity, DIH, etc. should be reviewed.
> (Marking this as a 8.4 release blocker).
