Hi, all~,

It has been two weeks since our last sync and it is time to share our
progress again. Let's share our works for the last two weeks in this
thread.

My update:
- Continue the Apache release. Now stuck at the maven publishing step.
Pinged in dev@ and Apache slack channel for help.
- Small improvements changes under code review(UI, function name, metrics)

Hi,

I've put out an initial update for the Streamlet acking out on GitHub (https://github.com/apache/incubator-heron/issues/2909).  I've created stand-alone versions of many of the streamlet examples, as well as simple versions of most of the snippets in the Heron docs. I used these for testing against the latest version of the Heron master source ( most recently updated and merged into my branch yesterday). 

I'd welcome review and suggestions for improvement of the modifications.  I'd be particularly interested in settings for the cache since I've not had much experience in that area.

The README for the heron-example repo describes the steps I used to compile and the steps for running my example streamlets.
