Sure. We absolutely need to update the documentation for the upcoming 1.1
release.
I agree that the couple of paragraphs we have on DOM are insufficient
documentation. At this point the only place DOM is mentioned specifically
is this:

We basically just refer the reader to the general XPath documentation like
the XPath standard and XPath tutorial by W3Schools. BTW, that tutorial is
awesome, so there would not be any point in providing documentation on XPath
in our users guide. IMO we should only address the JXPath idiosyncrasies as
far as DOM and JDOM are concerned.
What specific issues are most important to you? We would make sure those
are addressed.
