images not getting fully loaded on my jetspeed home page

hi !
my images on my jetspeed/index.jsp page are not getting loaded ..even
though the page takes several minutes to open....(for eg: get local image or
the logo for xml.com etc.)

is it something to do with my being behind a firewall ?
