[jira] [Resolved] (LOGCXX-316) Provide option for syslogAppender to automatically insert the syslog message header in the syslog message

Thorsten Schöning resolved LOGCXX-316.
--------------------------------------
    Resolution: Won't Fix

Because we are trying to reduce the backlog of open issues, I'm closing this one right now. The project lacks developers and while this feature suggestion reads somewhat interesting, nobody seems to have asked for it anymore since then.

> I'm using version 0.10.0, and it appears the syslogAppender does not provide the syslog message header (timestamp and hostname/IPaddress) in the syslog message. It looks like log4j does provides this capability, would it be possible to provide it in log4cxx as well? Thanks.
