I've been trying to find out why some 3rd party mirrors are missing some directories.
As part of this, I looked at the rsynch listings for the two servers. (attached)
Comparison of the (sorted) listings shows that some directories have different permissions on US and EU:
$ diff US EU (I removed lines where only the time differs):

< drwxr-sr-x 86 2011/05/22 17:50:33 apr

Is this significant? I would expect the permissions to be the same on both servers.
Also, most of the directories have the permision drwxrwsr-x, but a few do not (this is from US listing):

Sebb,
Part of the issue is likely due to the fact that the EU mirror is on Solaris and hasn't been tweaked in a while (it is due for replacement RSN).
I dont think this will cause mirrors to fail to sync.
However when we re-deploy the EU slave, I'm sure this will get fixed up.
