[PROPOSAL] New Committers for Struts
Struts, like all Jakarta-hosted projects, follows the guidelines
outlined on the Jakarta web site
<http://jakarta.apache.org/guidelines/index.html> to select new
committers. This requires a nomination by an existing committer, and at
least three positive votes (the customary approach is to reply with "+1"
for a positive vote, "-1" for negative vote, or "+0" or "-0" for an
abstention, depending on which way you are leaning.)
Based on these policies, I'd like to nominate the following individuals
to have commit access on the Struts source code repository, to help us
all move forwards faster. Both have contirbuted ideas, patches, and
code to the project already, and are looking forwards to doing more.
Please cast your votes individually for them:
Luis Arias <lu...@elysia.com>
David Geary <sa...@tri-lakesonline.net>

right way to use message tag
Posted by Oleg V Alexeev <go...@penza.net>.
Hello Craig,
There are not any problems with message tag, sorry.
Some history.. Some days ago I post here info about '?' signs in
results of work of message tag. I write resource bundle for Russian
language in cp1251 codepage and try to use it in JSP pages with
directive
<%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=windows-1251" %>
After that all results of work of message tag from struts library
became strings of '?'.
This problem can be solved by standart way with jdk1.3 tool
native2ascii. All localized content from resource bundles must be
converted to Unicode and after that strings generated with
messages tag in JSP pages would be OK.
