[jira] [Commented] (HIVE-5149) ReduceSinkDeDuplication can pick the
wrong partitioning columns
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-5149?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13750551#comment-13750551 ]
Pala M Muthaia commented on HIVE-5149:
--------------------------------------
Currently, there is a workaround to avoid this bug, by turning off all reduce deduplication optimization: hive.optimize.reducededuplication = false. However, that will affect other valid deduplications also, so the user has to be educated enough to turn it off selectively, or we turn it off globally in hive-site.xml, but give up performance in other cases.
So, using this config is only a short term workaround.
