In case GW receiver is rejecting new connections, due to reaching max-connections, following exception  is observed in GW senders site:

org.apache.geode.InternalGemFireException: Unable to deserialize member at org.apache.geode.cache.client.internal.ClientSideHandshakeImpl.readServerMember(ClientSideHandshakeImpl.java:280
