[jira] [Commented] (TS-2078) Eliminate a couple of _enabled options for negative caching

Leif Hedstrom commented on TS-2078:
-----------------------------------

Perhaps other similar superflous configurations (enabled + some_value) should be eliminated. Marking for v4.0.

> Right now, we have two configurations to enable various negative caching features:
> {code}
> proxy.config.http.negative_caching_enabled
> proxy.config.http.negative_revalidating_enabled
> {code}
> Both of there are disabled by default. In addition to these, both of them have a corresponding "timeout" value. My suggestion is that we eliminate both the _enabled options, and interpret timeout values > 0 to mean "enabled".
> This was found during TS-1255 work.
