help needed : eclipse/jetty web.xml prblem

hi,
i'm trying to run a cactus test from eclipse, and it works fine as long as
i don't provide my own web.xml

however, when i do, junit seems to startup and then dies, right after
outputting:

12:51:45.859 EVENT  Checking Resource aliases

eclipse logs contain nothing

and i've got all the right servle mappings in my web.xml

any ideas?
