[PR] CXF-7647: Don't register duplicate endpoints for compiler-generated b… [cxf]
coheigea opened a new pull request, #3618:
URL: https://github.com/apache/cxf/pull/3618
…ridge methods
When an interface overrides a generic method with more specific types, Java quietly adds a hidden “bridge” copy of that method using the generic types, and copies its annotations onto it. CXF treated that copy as a second endpoint for the same URL. Which one CXF picked was down to chance. When it picked the copy, the request failed, because CXF tried to create an abstract class.
The fix makes CXF recognise the hidden copy and point it at the real method’s endpoint, so each URL has exactly one endpoint with the correct types. Existing routes keep working as before.
