[jira] [Created] (ARTEMIS-5486) Add method to set multicast TTL for cluster discovery broadcast

Glenn Burkhardt created ARTEMIS-5486:
----------------------------------------

Summary: Add method to set multicast TTL for cluster discovery broadcast
                 Key: ARTEMIS-5486
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARTEMIS-5486
             Project: ActiveMQ Artemis
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: ActiveMQ-Artemis-Native
    Affects Versions: 2.40.0
            Reporter: Glenn Burkhardt
            Assignee: Clebert Suconic

There's no mechanism to set StandardSocketOptions.IP_MULTICAST_TTL for the socket used to broadcast the discovery query.  That's needed if discovery is to be used across networks outside the local subnet.  By default, the TTL value is 1 for the DatagramSocket created in org.apache.activemq.artemis.api.core.UDPBroadcastEndpointFactory for 'broadcastingSocket'.

Suggest adding a method and code to set the multicast TTL value for the broadcast socket.  Probably that socket should be a java.net.MulticastSocket instead of a DatagramSocket.
