GATE 8.0 now released

We have released Version 8.0 of GATE Developer and Embedded, now
available for download from http://gate.ac.uk/download/.

Release 8.0 adds a number of new features to GATE including:

 - new tools for Twitter data, including the TwitIE named entity
annotation pipeline
 - tools to support the creation of manually-annotated corpora using
crowd sourcing
 - a refreshed and updated ANNIE, with improved performance
 - new plugins wrapping various third-party annotation services, and
 - a host of improvements and bug-fixes to many existing plugins.
