Any updates? Have you tried to restart the daemons by hand? You may be seeing a timing issues. We are working on addressing this in 0.7.1.

sorry, my bad. I am using 0.7 (latest version). Yes, you are right.
That is not the issue. 
Let me dig more into logs.

What version are you using? It should not fail if the .md5 file is missing.
