Help with setting up Soap 2 with Tomcat v4.0.3
Hi there plz can someone confirm that Soap 2 has successfully
intergrated with Tomcat 4 .
I have previously successfully created a simple web service via
www.vsj.co.uk tutorial called Clean and serene.
Thus I have since upgraded to tomcat 4 from tomcat 3.2.2 thus a some
point I had to add the Soap library path and my development directory to
Tomcat's 3.2.2 classpath <Tomcat install>/bin dir.
Thus added lines to the tomcat.bat file now this doesn't exist in Tomcat
4 .0.3
The lines I'm trying to add as follows:
set
CLASSPATH= c\code\soap\javasvr;
%CLASSPATH%
So Plz advice or point to a good source as I need to get upto speed with
Apache Soap on a Tomcat 4 asap.

Nice one digested the notes. Just to mention that I installed Apache
Soap distribution right into jdk1.3 dir thus setup my classpath to
include both Xerces and Apache Soap Libraries. I then created a
setpaths.bat file to do this thus all works fine thus I have configured
Tomcat v4 for Soap usiny ,tomcat4>/conf/server.xml file to include the
Soap Web application context element So I now assume that or I need to
do is run the Deploy command from the command line after I create a
deployment descriptor whereby there is a built-in Apache Soap service
named soapDesc.xml
So I don't need to set a classpath for default for my development dir
.In what I assumed in my Tomcat4 /bin / somewhere (wicked!!)

Cheers I 'm on the case - Just to recap I have the Apache Soap Admin GUI
up but I 'm aware that I haven.t added the SOAP library and my
<C:\development > development dir to Tomcat 4.0.3 classpath (within
tomcat's tree) i.e (<tomcat>/bin / tomcat.bat)in version 3.2.2 .
Anyway I'll take a peek and digest this address Cheers again .
