java.lang.VerifyError

Hi,

i'm currently having a strange problem on a xml page which is sent
through the xsp processor and later on through xsl.
The strangeness is, that the page with an own stylesheet is processed
correctly. The page within another context of my main application is
working too (i've simply merged that stylesheet into my main
stylesheet, yes, i'm aware of xsl:import and include, but i wanted it
that way :).

In my main xsp stylesheet i got a function that returns a boolean if the
current session is authenticated or not.
When i do the following, i get that java.lang.VerifyError:

	<xsp:logic>
		if (authenticated(session)) {
			<xsl:copy>
				<xsl:apply-templates/>
			</xsl:copy>
		}
	</xsp:logic>

So, this is strange, but what's even stranger is, that if i reduce the
number of xml in the section concerned by <xsl:copy> it is working.
I've found that if i cut the content of that section down to ~500
lines the code is working. Everything above is not working anymore.
I can't believe that it has to do with that magic 500 lines though...

Cocoon 1.7.4

Error found handling the request.

I'd be glad if anyone could help me or push me into the right
direction, i don't really know what's going on here. I am using Cocoon
1.7.4, Tomcat 3.1 on FreeBSD-stable with a 1.1.8 jdk.

bye, alex
