OracleBlobJDBCAdapter

In what cases the usage of OracleBlobJDBCAdapter is more appropriate than
OracleJDBCAdapter?

I don't think any case remains. The blob support in oracle is now
handled under the covers by the jdbc adapter, so that you can just use
varchar/strings from the api and they get stored as blobs when they
exceed a size limit.
