   @CobbyJ , I tried with the below two commands, which worked for me.
   
   - `yum install wget`
   
   - `yum localinstall -y http://repo.mysql.com/yum/mysql-connectors-community/el/7/x86_64/mysql-connector-python-8.0.18-1.el7.x86_64.rpm`
   
   And i skipped below repo file and cmds: 
   
   -  `vi /etc/yum.repos.d/mysql-community.repo`
   
   -  `rpm --import http://repo.mysql.com/RPM-GPG-KEY-mysql`
   
   - `yum install mysql-connector-python`
