Please set hive.security.authorization.manager=org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.security.authorization.plugin.sqlstd.SQLStdConfOnlyAuthorizerFactory in hive-site.xml.

This should be applicable only for champlain release onwards.
This change is important for being able to access tables created from hive commandline from the JDBC, when the SQL standard authorization is enabled on HiveServer2.
