In dark mode, the landing-page site's support is patchy. The main landing page theme does not support dark mode, but the markdown theme added for the common page does. Therefore, for the sake of consistency, I've removed the dark theme from the common markdown pages so that there are no pages using mixed themes.
On the other hand, the docs site has full support for light/dark mode and even has auto where it matches the users system settings (using a media query that checks `prefers-color-scheme`). This PR sets the docs site to use auto.
