flux and newapp

Hi everyone,

What is FLUX and its role in relation to the example app "newapp"?
I've searched through the docs and the mailing list but couldn't find
anything good.

tia,
dan

It is the front end to the turbine security system. You can add users,
roles, groups and permissions.

Typically you make modules (screens and actions) that check roles/perms
before allowing the module to perform the requested task.

As far as the sample app goes, you can create new users and assign them
roles and create modules that grant users assigned a particular role access.
The sample app is very limited and the role that is given free reign is
turbine_root and is hard coded in the example classes.
