hostnames in logs, imagemap module in CVS tree fuct on relative links

I'm way behind on Apache mail (about 500 messages) but I'm diving back
in so expect a lot of messages in the next few days :)

First off - I compiled my copy of the current CVS tree and installed it
as the main hyperreal web server.

First problem: lots of logfile entries where the host is chopped off
after the first ".", i.e.

h31.n145.organic.com - - [19/Apr/1996:00:17:10 -0700] "GET /incoming/cindy/1.gif HTTP/1.0" 304 -
h31 - - [19/Apr/1996:00:23:26 -0700] "GET /lowres/submission/ HTTP/1.0" 200 2943
h31.n145.organic.com - - [19/Apr/1996:00:23:26 -0700] "GET /lowres/img/subhead-lowres.gif HTTP/1.0" 304 -

I don't see a pattern yet, it happens on both valid returns and errors.

Secondly, the imagemap in the CVS tree does not handle relative links in
an imagemap file right (at least like previous Apache imagemaps handled
them). For example, if you go to http://www.hyperreal.com/music/kudos/,
the imagemap there has relative links to subdirectories (yeah, it's ugly,
that's besides the point), i.e.

rect acid/acid.htm 1,0 173,37

And the redirected URL created for this is
http://www.hyperreal.com/acid/acid.htm. This is incorrect.
