[Issue 128495] New: save directories should be the same as load
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=128495
Issue ID: 128495
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: save directories should be the same as load
Product: Writer
Version: 4.2.0-dev
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 (lowest)
Component: editing
Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Reporter: fonsbo@gmail.com
Target Milestone: ---
I think the saving in OOO is horrible. ALWAYS I have to navigate to my
directory for saving. ALWAYS!!!!
It would be damn nice if OpenOffice suggested THE SAME save directory form
where I loaded the document. As it is now it is horribly confusing. Includes
PDF export.
I have lost a huge number of documents on my disk because it is huge.
When documents are saved in other directories and I do not notice, I cant find
it again. I start on the previous document because I always know where they
are. But when OOO saves elsewhere I often have to do changes over or when I
load my document and start editing I suddenly notice I have done changes which
are not in the document and then I don't know where the hell ooo saved it days
earlier.
PLEASE make it easier by REMEMBERING the load path and let OOO suggest that for
SAVING!!!!!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!
