What is the purpose of the tag field in a lock state structure?

Hi,

I'm not clear with what the 2 byte TAG field in the lock state structure is
used for. Please explain.

Hi John,

This is an implementation detail. If you're interested in such things (which
is great btw!), I would recommend to address the question to dev list
instead.
