[jira] [Commented] (IGNITE-1046) Docker container for Ignite

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IGNITE-1046?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14597499#comment-14597499 ]

Nikolay Tikhonov commented on IGNITE-1046:
------------------------------------------

I think need to implement functionality allowing user to skip 1-st and 3-st steps and execute user' command. That would be useful for running client code and if ignite node is started from java code.

> I would like us to create a docker container which would do the following:
> # Download latest version of Ignite
> # Receive user GIT repository as a parameter, build it using maven, and deploy user jar into Ignite.
> # Start Ignite node with user code deployed in it.
> This will allow users to automatically deploy their code into Ignite by simply providing a GIT URL.
> Once this is done, we can create AMI and GCE images based on this docker container.
