Status for 2.0

What shape is the 2.0 trunk i?. It has a bunch of fixes that I have been
waiting for.

Hi Dave,

it passes the tests so it's usable but it's not stable as API, functions etc. etc might change

I guess the question is how stable is the 2.0 branch? I ran all of my tests
against it and everything looks good but that can be a fools paradise.
The latest 1.8 does not address my image rendering issues...

Hi Dave,

there is no release date yet for 2.0. You could also follow 1.8.x to see if the changes you are looking for are part of the 1.8 branch as this might be released earlier. 2.0 is a larger effort and will come with API changes.
