Screenshot of the "Check for updates" dialog
Steps to reproduce:
1) download Openoffice 4.1.1 on OSX 10.9.4
2) Open program and select Help -> Check for updates...
There are several issues with the dialog box:
1) Stuck in Checking... status
2) The text %PERCENT% is displayed rather than %
3) The status bar obscures the spinner

Are you sure to have downloaded AOO from official website?
If yes, did you check the MD5 sum of the DMG file?

Hello,
AOO 4.1.1 and OsX 10.9.4
same as Tintin, Checking for update is OK
First, the report is false: nothing to do with helping
Menu: OpenOffice> Preferences ...> Update online>
Check Now button
After less than a second, the attached message is displayed
the same as tintin
Why focus on a TOTALLY useless option right now?

This is rather strange, because OpenOffice does not offer to download the
update anymore, it just opens the browser. The "Install" and all other related
buttons should be disabled.
