The '#' comes from the delimiters configured on the synergy server. You cant 
get rid off that by editing the workarea properties.

In the Synergy client on the root element�s (the project�s) context menu:
"Work Area Properties | Directory and Subdirectory Templates... (Button) | 
Projecct Subdirectory"
There could be a string   %delimiter   which refers to the configured 
delimiter. For you it�s '#' (we have '-' which makes fun in J2EE - think of web-
inf/web.xml, ejb-jar.xml...).

The '#' is not reserved in paths, but for URIs it seperates the path to the 
file from the location inside the file (html-anchor).

The part you said would be:

XMLResultAggregator.java:0248: Document testsuiteDoc
XMLResultAggregator.java:0249:   = builder.parse("file:///" + 
file.getAbsolutePath());

Maybe FileUtils.getFileURL(File file) would help...
