[plugin] Warning, Errors, Fatals and Libraries

Just a few quick questions regarding plugins:

- How should warnings, errors and fatals (no-recoverable errors) be
reported?

- Is there a recommended way for tracing?  Should commons-logging be
used?

- My plugin requires an additional jar.  Where should I put it?
