Apache and proxy authentication using NTLM

Fellow SOAP'ers,

Since I have installed Apache and Tomcat/SOAP, I'm having problems with
certain kinds of demo's, like Jetspeeds StockQuote. As far as I can see,
this example uses SOAP to get a stock quote from somewhere (bluesunrise). I
entered this problem in our support department, with the following trace
data:
Mon Mar 04 13:45:39 CET 2002] -- ERROR --
Exception: java.rmi.RemoteException: Error doing soap stuff; nested
exception is:
java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 407 for URL:
http://www.bluesunrise.com/webservices/container/BlueSunriseFinance/BlueSunr
iseFinanceService/BlueSunriseFinancePort/
Stack Trace follows:
java.rmi.RemoteException: Error doing soap stuff; nested exception is:
java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 407 for URL:
http://www.bluesunrise.com/webservices/container/BlueSunriseFinance/BlueSunr
iseFinanceService/BlueSunriseFinancePort/
I told I believe the part in this trace about "Server returned HTTP response
code: 407 for URL" tells me that I need something about "Proxy
Authentication Required". The support department answered our company uses
proxy authentication based on NTLM. Does anyone of you know whether Apache
supports this authentication method or not?

With regards,
