The following if clause:
{code:sql}
if(p, null, false) 
{code}
can be simplified to:
{code:sql}
and(null, false).

And similarly, the following clause:
{code:sql}
if(p, null, true)
{code}
can be simplified to:
{code:sql}
or(null, true)
{code}
