creating xxx-current folders in our website for documentation
Hi, I'd like to add a folder to our website, under docs/d/uimaj-current, that
would be a way to have links that always referenced the current release.
I see this has been done already for uimafit :-). My question: is there a way
to do this with some kind of link, rather than putting the same thing there in
two places? Ideally, when a new release is done, I'd like to put the docs in a
folder e.g. uimaj-2.8.0, and then change uimaj-current to reference that. Any
ideas how to do that with our current setup?

also asked on Infra list.

Those servers only mirror the latest state without versioning, right? So
it's basically just the size of a checkout. So with an additional "current"
folder, we use the space of n+1 releases instead of for n releases. I doubt
that a symbolic link is created.
Anyway, if that little extra space is a problem for the Apache webs servers,
then I'd says infra should consider upgrade them.
Cheers,

Nice. While it doesn't create any extra space in SVN, it (I believe) might
duplicate the disk space used on the Apache web servers?
Or, perhaps the pub/sub (or is it sub/pub) mechanism recognizes an svn copy and
creates a symbolic link :-) ?

What I usually do is keep the individual releases in version folders. Then I just "svn copy" the latest folder to "current". No extra space used. It is basically a tag.
I think this is what I have done in uimaFIT too. It is definitely how we've been doing it back on Google Code.
