[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-6714) Collection RELOAD returns 200 even when osme hsards fail to reload -- other APIs with similar problems?

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-6714?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14200877#comment-14200877 ]

Hoss Man commented on SOLR-6714:
--------------------------------

This behavior seems really absurd to me -- almost as if it was intentional. Is there some reason i can't think of why it was implemented like this?

Assuming folks agree this should be fixed -- we should audit & sanity check that no other Collection APIs have a similar behavior in failure cases like this.

> The HTTP stats code of collection level APIs should not be 200 if any of the underlying requests that it depends on result in 4xx or 5xx errors.
