[jira] [Created] (INFRA-12467) maven-repository not transferred from minotaur to home; causes 404

Sebb created INFRA-12467:
----------------------------

Summary: maven-repository not transferred from minotaur to home; causes 404
                 Key: INFRA-12467
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-12467
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Task
          Components: Website
         Environment: http://www.apache.org/dist/maven-repository/
            Reporter: Sebb

The ASF mirror source contains a directory called 'maven-repository' which is sourced from:
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/maven-repository/

The dist dir contains an .htaccess file:

Redirect permanent /dist/maven-repository http://people.apache.org/repo/m2-ibiblio-rsync-repository

Since the /www/people.apache.org/repo/ tree has not been transferred to home.apache.org, the URL

http://www.apache.org/dist/maven-repository/

fails with an error:

Not Found

The requested URL /repo/m2-ibiblio-rsync-repository/ was not found on this server.

===

I don't know whether or not the data is still needed.
If it is needed, then the data needs to be copied somewhere and the redirect changed if necessary.

If it is not needed, then the

https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/maven-repository/

directory needs to be changed, e.g. to drop the .htaccess file and add a README to note that the data is no longer available. Or the entire maven-directory could be deleted.
