1. Adjust the svn:ignore properties for the global dist directory: 
    $ svn co https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/infrastructure/site/trunk/docs/dist/ tmp 
    $ cd tmp 
    $ svn propedit svn:ignore . 
    ;; Add "shiro" in alphabetical order 
    $ svn ci -m "added Shiro to svn:ignore in dist" 

2. Update the live copy on people.apache.org: 
    $ svn up /www/www.apache.org/dist 

3. Add 'shiro' in alphabetical to infra's trunk/tools/ap-adduser

4. Alter svn:https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/infrastructure/site/trunk to update the foundation website to include links to Shiro
