[jira] [Closed] (LEGAL-252) BSD and "BSD-like" licenses

Henri Yandell closed LEGAL-252.
-------------------------------
    Resolution: Fixed

Looking at said license - it looks very clear that it would fit Category A, so fine to include as mentioned at:

https://www.apache.org/legal/resolved.html#category-a

Will let others reopen/comment if they think otherwise; but this feels simple.

> I'm unclear on whether BSD licenses are allowed in Apache projects. Whats more I'm looking at some other software that claims to be "BSD-like" licensed (but looks nothing like some of the licenses described in LEGAL-59 and from the License page on apache.org
> The BSD license is the attached MPVAPICH-BSD.txt and the "BSD-like" is MPICH.txt.
> Also can be found here:

> - "BSD-Like"

> Thanks
