Apache Hop is now a Top Level Project
Hi Hopperians,
We are pleased and proud to announce that Hop has graduated from incubator
and is now a Top Level Project.
This marks the end of a journey that started over a year ago, and the
beginning of a new chapter for Apache Hop.
The graduation will increase Hop's reach and audience. We will continue to
develop Hop and love to hear your feedback, things we should focus on and
improvements we can make. What will change is that we will be delivering
releases on a more frequent basis, also some links will be updated in the
near future (dockerhub, github and download url's). We will keep you
informed when these changes occur so you can update your local scripts and
deployments.
Talking about releases... we are doing the final polishing and will be
bringing 1.1.0 to you soon.
This release will include a couple of new things, many fixes and
improvements, a sneak peek of what will be included can be found in our
release notes (
https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?projectId=12324323&version=12350627
).
We would also like to thank you all for making this possible and for
spreading the word. Apache Hop is and will continue to be built by the
community, and for the community.
Kind regards,
The Apache Hop PMC team

I have mentored several projects through the incubation process, and Hop
was one of the most successful. It was impressive how quickly Hop coalesced
into a democratic, respectful, effective open source community following
the Apache Way. I am staying on as a PMC member, and I am looking forward
to Hop reaching greater heights. Congratulations and good luck!

I see that Hop will become a tool that will allow many professionals to be
included in the data work market, because handling code is not so cool
hehehe.
Congratulations again to all of us, and surely a new journey begins.
