--- Comment #1 from Metalmad <dm...@gmail.com> ---
I was unable to reproduce this bug on following platforms:
Intel Core i5-3230M/8Gb/128GbSSD/GeForce740m - Windows 7 64bit
Mac Mini Late 2014 Intel Core i5-1.4Ghz/4Gb/500Gb HDD/Intel HD5000 - Mac OS X
10.11.4
In my tests I used AOO Writer version 4.1.2 and 4.1.1 on both platforms.
I tried following tests to reproduce the issue:
Test 1
1. Opened a new document with AOO Writer
2. Typed in some text into the document.
3. Tried to type in several special characters from the AutoCorrect Options
Replacement list.
Such as: “--”, “(C)”, ‘(R)” and others.
4. Tried to use several words from the AutoCorrect Options Replacement lis such
as: “ctaegory”, “byt he”, “diffrent” and others.
Test 2
1. Opened a new document with AOO Writer
2. Pasted some text into it
3. Saved the file in 3 different formats: .odt, .doc and .rtf
4. Reopened saved files and repeated Test 1 in all of them.
Test 3.
1. Switched off Format > AutoCorrect > While Typing option.
2. Restarted the AOO Writer
3. Switched on Format > AutoCorrect > While Typing option.
4. Opened each of 3 files in different format I created in the Test 2 step 3.
5. Repeated Test 1 using those conditions.
As a System Administrator I suspect that initial reporter could have struggled
with Hard Disk drive problems. Filed attempts to repair or reinstall the AOO
could point on a bad sector on their hard drive, so, installed AOO files could
be damaged which caused the behavior mentioned in their report.
