Jmeter on Solaris

Hi all

I have dowloaded the jakarta-jmeter-1.8.1.tgz onto windows and have ftp the
file to solaris box for install.
after gunzip and extracting the tar i found the all the files html/properties
files have control charcters.
The changes made to the properties is not affecting jmeter but taking the
default values.

Is there a problem with the download or Jmeter build zip.

The windows download is working fine.

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance.
Kumar
