[jira] Created: (AXISCPP-321) date-time format problems
date-time format problems
-------------------------
Key: AXISCPP-321
URL: http://nagoya.apache.org/jira/browse/AXISCPP-321
Project: Axis-C++
Type: Bug
Components: Serialization/Deserialization
Versions: 1.4 Final
Environment: All
Reporter: Samisa Abeysinghe
With datetime format , in c++ test code, I just moved some fields
to another one of the same structure and I get the following output
string: with Axis
<txnDate>*2004-12-09T19:54:32Z*</txnDate>
I supposed that Z is for TimeZone ? But how to construct a time to
obtain such string ?
With dot-net client application and a java application I got the
following string:
<txnDate>2004-12-08T00:00:00.0000000-05:00</txnDate>
Thanks a lot for your answers. Take care!

[jira] Commented: (AXISCPP-321) date-time format problems

Adrian Dick commented on AXISCPP-321:
-------------------------------------
According to the SOAP, XSD spec a DateTime object can optionally have a timezone appended.
This in the form +/-hh:mm, or Z to denote UTC (GMT).
I have looked into the serialization code of DateTime, and notice it always assumes UTC. I shall make the necessary changes to correctly determine timezone offset, and append to the outgoing DateTime value.
