   @pitrou I am not sure about the value of this primitive. There are [valid use cases](https://pytorch.org/cppdocs/notes/tensor_basics.html#efficient-access-to-tensor-elements) however I'm not sure we have interest from the community. If you don't see immediate use for this I'll close it.
