[jira] [Commented] (AMQ-3152) JMS Selectors and a more current SQL database query language version.

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMQ-3152?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13112242#comment-13112242 ]

Robert Liguori commented on AMQ-3152:
-------------------------------------

I found the reference you mentioned in JSR-914. It reads, "A message selector is a String whose syntax is based on a subset of the SQL92* conditional expression syntax."

As such, this is an invalid request.

> Project: ActiveMQ
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Affects Versions: 5.4.2
> Reporter: Robert Liguori
> Priority: Minor
>
> JMS Selectors are defined using SQL 92; http://activemq.apache.org/selectors.html
> SQL 92 has been superseded by SQL 1999, SQL 2003 and SQL 2008; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SQL-92
> Any reason why one of these most recent versions isn't being used in support of JMS Selectors?
> That is, I recommend using a more current version if practical and feasible.
> Thanks!
