[Bug 121954] binfilter won't load versions of old StarOffice files

I haven't tried all of these versions, thanks for the link.

Unfortunately indeed it seems dim as the white paper
(http://www.openoffice.org/specs/appwide/fileIO/Behavior_of_Saving_Documents_Containing_Versions.odt)
indicates it hasn't been considered to save versions and convert file type.
