DeleteById(List ) is not working

Hi,
  I tried deleting my SOLR doc using the method deleteById(String <id>) and
it is working fine.But When i use the method deleteById(List <list>),Docs
are not getting deleted.

Am i missing something???...please help me...
Im using SOLR1.4
